See What A Glass Cup Of Water Every Morning Can Cause To Your Health

fact that it is very important to get your appropriate water intake each day to stay hydrated and healthy.
But did you know that adding the simple routine of starting your day with a glass of water can have massive effects on your health and vitality? Everything healthy doesn’t have to be complicated and expensive.
Below are reasons you should add this simple practice to your daily routine.
1. Refreshes And Hydrates The Body
After not drinking water fofact that it is very important to get your appropriate water intake each day to stay hydrated and healthy.
But did you know that adding the simple routine of starting your day with a glass of water can have massive effects on your health and vitality? Everything healthy doesn’t have to be complicated and expensive.
Below are reasons you should add this simple practice to your daily routine.
1. Refreshes And Hydrates The Body
After not drinking water for 8 hours, our entire body is on the verge toward dehydration.  By drinking warm water first thing after waking up, you replenish this hydration and nourish each little cell in the body.
2. Awakens The Mind
By hydrating the body first thing, you automatically are hydrating the brain as well.  This increases blood flow to the brain, bringing clarity and rejuvenation to the mind.
3. Flushes Out Stagnant Toxins
Drinking warm water first thing in the morning will spark the energy of all the vital organs, including the liver and the kidneys, our keys to detoxification.  By activating these organs right after awakening, you help to flush the system from any toxins that have become stagnant throughout the night.
4. Increases The Digestive Fire
This simple practice is also a great way to increase the Agni, or digestive fire, in the body.  This in turn increase digestion, assimilation and elimination of the past days food substances and overall increase the metabolism.
5. Increases Overall Energy
So many individuals have a hard time getting going in the morning, but a large part of it may be due to cellular dehydration.  Although a cup of coffee  will give a caffeinated boost to your morning, it will also send your body into further dehydration, leading to greater fatigue by the afternoon.
While dehydration causes fatigue and depletion, beginning your day with hydration creates just the opposite, energy and nourishment.
6.Beautifies The Complexion
The health of the skin is directly related to the liver health and the amount of toxins in the body.  By flushing out the system first thing each morning and activating the liver energy, you will begin to notice the health of your complexion improving as well.
The vital hydration in the early morning will also bring a softness to the skin and a glow to the complexion.
7. Decreases Hunger
Hunger is often caused by the hidden feeling of  being thirsty.  By drinking some warm water in the morning you not only avoid this false hunger, you will also fill up the stomach part way, allowing less room for food.  This of course means it will take less food intake to feel that desired fullness.
For an added bonus to your health, add some fresh lemon juice to the warm water.  This will enhance all the mentioned benefits while adding a few more, such as boosting the immune system, balancing your pH levels and flushing out your urinary tract system.

The main Secrets Behind Kogi State Varsity ASUU Strike Has Been Exposed

Some lecturers have been tranpering on students' rights and denial of privileges for too long, and they think they can persist through holding the students' future to ransom.
Some of these injustice/malfeasance includes but not limited to:

(a) Fixing lectures at odd times, such as 7am, and some times 5pm

(b) Wilful cancellation of lectures even after confirming to the course representative earlier that the lecture will hold, this occur in abusive frequency, their private matter affect their public duty

(c) Delitory and extended time for the computation and publication of students' results, and rather prefer to public or ask students to come and check the carry-over list

(d) When students have complaints about their result more often than not they treat or regard the student as unintelligent, even when this may have possibly arose from a computational error

(e) Collection of gratification normally called "sorting" from students either by intimidation or happily entertaining it

(f) By intimidation and authority sleep with female students, and even some times victimize a male student who might only be a friend to their female student of interest through his grade-score, because the female student is not responding and they perceive him to be stonewalling the process
Moreso, and now some if not all, have received salaries they did not work for, for over five months and are happy, some have left the school but yet received the salary.

The same ASUU held a Congress some time ago and could not call-off the strike for the sake of students even if they do not have regard for the stakeholders who have intervened before then.
The Governor has done the students a great service for proscribing ASUU KSU, at least no more strike again, from a student point-of-view.

The Enugu State Chapter ASUU representative(s) who addressed our State Governor as "adolescent governor", better watch it (!), and addressing our Vice-Chancellor and others the way they like, they (ASUU Enugu reps.) are truly rascals.

ASUU-National had better mind themselves and know that the proscription of KSU Chapter must have to prevail, or else, if they come to Anyigba they shall be heavily stoned back to where they come from.
And to those Barristers and so called Human Rights Groups challenging the proscription of ASUU KSU, where were you when the students have been out of school all this time, you did not say any thing to the government nor ASUU until now, I guess it is all about the money and fame now right(?).

KSU shall rise out of its ashes, we humbly advice the Governor to sack any lecturer that is roguish and publish an opening for his/her replacement forthwith.
Some lecturers have indeed served only themselves through their offices and yes indeed, this past strike.

On a final note, we heartily want to appreciate the lecturers who are ready for work following the order of the State Government because of the love they have for us as parents and teachers, God bless (!).

Long live KSU!
Long live Kogi State!

I Can't Apologize To Bodies Trying To Ruin My Government Down - Gov YAHAYA Bello

His government banned the union after an emergency session of the state executive council in Lokoja on Wednesday.

Speaking with State House correspondents after attending a meeting of Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) on Wednesday night, he said he took the decision in order to save education and the future of Kogi children.

Bello alleged that there were political forces behind the union in the institution, noting that all efforts to get the lecturers back to work after months of strike action did not yield any positive result.

Asked whether he thought of the ramifications of his action if the national body of ASUU were to tackle his government, he said. “Well, the most important thing is that Kogi state university belongs to Kogi state and it is the future of our children and of our students that we are concerned about about.

“And so long as that is assured and we can protect that, I don’t think we have any apology for taking that decision.”

He further explained why his government decided to outrightly proscribe the union, saying “I inherited more or less a comatose institution and in a bid to resuscitate it, we need to carry out certain surgical operation in order to make educational sector in Kogi State healthy.

“And education is one of our five thematic areas. We did the screening exercise and several other things.

“Now, ASUU came up with several other bodies with certain demands. Some predated my administration and to the best of our judgement as an administration, we were able to meet up to 90% of these demands.

“And in a collective bargain, both parties should shift ground. And the way and manner ASUU Kogi State University Chapter was going about it, it is more or less like a political party that was in opposition.

“Apparently, there are certain forces from certain areas that were pushing them. That wouldn’t be my concern. But my concern particularly is that certain amount of demands that were put forward, among which is salaries, have been paid fully.

“And the institution has been on strike for almost seven months now.

“Now, the question is, government owed you seven months, government has paid you seven months among other demands.

“But there is one important thing that you are owing the critical stakeholders in education that you can never pay back, which is the time of the children, the time of our young ones, the time of the students that has been wasted that you can never give back.

“I appealed to them to return back. On or before the end of this month and that we will pay all outstanding arrears. Every other institutions resumed but KSU.

“But what is more amazing and disturbing is that in the course of interacting with them, in the presence of all stakeholders including the Attah of Igala, the Acting Chairman made a remark that even if we meet 100% demand of ASUU KSU or lecturers KSU, we only succeeded in minimizing the incidence of strike in the institution.

“Meaning, he went further to expatiate that if every thing is running normal in the institution and the National body of ASUU desires to on strike for whatever reason, Kogi KSU will join the strike action.

“And I think that is most irresponsible and they are not sensitive to the plight of parents, the students and even the future of the young ones.

“If that is going to be the case, as the Visitor to that institution, I am  powered to proscribe that association in that institution so that we can have a smooth academic running.

“And as a government, we will live up to our duties and responsibility so that even our lecturers and all other civil servants in Kogi state will be taken care of adequately and within the ambit of our resources.”

Effect And Implications Of the Asuu Ban In Kogi State Varsity

The origin of trade union no doubt, began in Britain during industrial revolution in 18 century.  During that period,  the effort on the part of workers to combine met stiff resistance from the state. Trade union was regarded as unlawful association. As a result, their effort to come together gain momentum and in 1824 trade union was legalized in Britain. In USA, the union of workers were given serious opposition by the employers until  in 1842 when the supereme court rules in favour of the workers. In Nigeria, the first formal union was  civil service union and it was formed in 1912 and in 1938, trade union ordinance was enacted as a legal entitity .       The decision of the kogi state government to prosribe the KSU chapter of the ASUU has a serious legal implication. Since it is the right of workers to combine under one umbrella, any opposition can be regarded as violation of human and trade union right granted to them by law. The action of the governor is an infringement of their right to unionism and freedom of association as enshrined in our constitution. This will make ASUU to seek redress to the law court in defence of her right and it will take time for this case to be handle therby distrupting the acadenic activities in the school. The students will suffer because the school activities will be truncated as a result of the legal battle. Those who had graduated will not be mobilzed until the dispute is over. It has several effects that is going to be unbearable. Instead of the governor to solve the problem on ground, he took another draconian decision that will aggravate the situation. The decision of the governor is a clear manifestion of his intention to send the institution into extiction and put our future in the state of jeopardy and despondency. He has to reverse that decision and appologize for our interest.

FG Order Arrest On Nigerian Singer P-sqaure...See Details below

The All Progressives Congress, APC, youth renaissance group has reacted to Peter Okoye of P-square’s perceived ‘insult’ on the Federal government of Nigeria. The brothers via their Instagram pages had questioned the federal government’s purported move to ban production of music videos abroad. They said the federal government was trying to control what it never supported, adding that one day, a law would surface that will monitor how they sleep with their wives. (Read the full story here) Reacting in a statement signed by the APC youths national secretary, Collins Edwin and made available to PoliticsNGR, the group described Peter Okoye as a “son of darkness” and urged security agencies to arrest the musician for comments alleged slander and defamation of character. Read the full statement below:
"“We read the scurrilous remarks credited to Mr Peter Okoye of the Psquare group against the Federal Government’s job-saving policy in the entertainment industry with great anger and vexation. “Least of all persons to make scathing remark against the government is the Psquare group which the local content policy of the Federal Government dusted-up from the valley of obscurity. “Where was Peter Okoye or Psquare brand in 1999 when foreign music dominated our airwaves? If not for the government policy which mandated all broadcast stations in Nigeria to pay attention to Nigerian music by playing 95 percent of Nigerian songs every day, would Peter Okoye or Psquare be known to anybody in Nigeria today? “Or would they have competed with better American music which dominated our airwaves then? “After the government have used its policy to brush them up from nothing to something; instead of giving opportunity to other people, they are taking Nigerian jobs to foreign countries through the shooting of music videos abroad. “Now that government have intervened to raise great and better entertainers again, Peter Okoye has the gut to insult the entire Federal Government by calling our great leaders ‘Ndi Ala’ which means mad and stupid people. How dare you say that Psquare? “We, therefore, urge the security agencies in the country to arrest Mr Peter Okoye for disrespecting our government and bringing it to a disrepute. “If you cannot produce in Nigeria and hire Nigerians, then leave the industry. We must export Nigerian culture to the outside world through our music and videos.

OBJ Warns Public To Stop Calling Him MATHEW, See Reasons Below

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has officially denounced his Christian name, Matthew, and has also sounded a loud warning to Nigerians never to address him by the name or risk seeing the bad side of him. According to him, he took the decision to denounce the name because Matthew in the Bible was a ‘stupid’ tax collector. The aformer president made the statement on Friday at an event organised by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) in commemoration of his 80th birthday celebration in Abuja. Obasanjo explained that he adopted only Olusegun Okikiola Aremu as his names because they have lots of connotations in the African setting. He was quoted by Leadership Newspaper saying ;

When I was born in my part of Nigeria, the system was that after eight days, you must be given a name and for people to know that you were born into a Christian family, you will be given one Hebrew name. My mother and father decided to name me Matthew but when I grew up, I started asking myself the meaning of Matthew. Not only does it not have meaning as long as I am concerned, the biblical Matthew is a stupid tax collector. Anybody who does not want to see my eyes red should stop calling me Matthew?

Manchester United announce Romelu Lukaku Tranfer To Everton

Manchester United have announced they have agreed a fee with Everton for Romelu Lukaku despite late interest from Chelsea.
The Old Trafford club will pay a basic fee of £75m, with the two clubs ironing out disagreements over bonuses that could well take any final deal up to £90m or £100m.
United have already agreed healthy personal terms with the 24-year-old and his agent, and will pay Lukaku up to £200,000 a week, in the hope of getting the deal done more quickly.
Seeking to solve last year’s scoring problems above most other team issues, Jose Mourinho wanted his primary striker in for the start of the club’s pre-season next week. Mourinho would preferably like to bring in another player as well as Lukaku for then too, along with new centre-half Victor Lindelof.
The Portuguese still wants to sign Internazionale’s Ivan Perisic, Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic and Monaco’s Fabinho, and there remains a decent possibility United will bring in another attacking player, as there have been talks with Real Madrid over the potential purchase of James Rodriguez.
The Colombian’s marketability would fulfil executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward’s desire for a “star” name this summer.

Nigeria Notorious Billionaire Kidnapper Evans Vanishes From Prison

Several weeks after the media has been buzzing, a sudden blackout has descended on the case of Chukwuduneme Onwuamadike a.k.a. Evans, Nigeria’s infamous billionaire kidnapper, thus fuelling speculations that he’s escaped, or dead.
Saturday Sun has however gathered that Evans is not dead as his family now fears but has been moved from the Lagos police command headquarters cell by about 30 heavily armed men at midnight few days ago to an undisclosed destination. Some senior police officers in the know told Saturday Sun he was moved to Abuja.
All a Saturday Sun reporter who visited the state police command was told was that Evans is no longer allowed to talk to the press till further notice. The secrecy surrounding his whereabouts in the official quarters baffles those who have closely followed his story since his arrest.
After days of sniffing around the Lagos police formations to get information on Evans whereabouts, it was gathered that the kidnap kingpin had been moved out of the Lagos command headquarters days ago by heavily armed policemen and is yet to be returned.
Police had last week said they had got a court order to detain him for three months to give them enough time to complete their investigation. This followed two suits filed by Evans lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje, at the High Court seeking his release and claiming N300m damages from the police.
Some senior police officers who spoke to Saturday Sun on condition of anonymity expressed fears that Evans might not make it to the court.
They argued that he might plot his escape from prison, or get across to some of his members who are still on the run. Their concerns are not farfetched, given that several inmates in the past had reportedly committed much heinous crimes even while in prison.
Some of the officers confirmed that Evans was no longer in the police cell in Lagos. “He has not been returned since he was moved out. Evans is a broken man; police can’t resort to extra-judicial killings at this point. He is cooperating, and he is ready to help return all his ill-gotten wealth as soon as possible”, one of the officers said.
Another reliable source at the police command told Saturday Sun.
“Evans is not an ordinary criminal. I guess that they took him out for further investigation but I don’t know why they are yet to return him to his cell.” The source further assured: “No one is planning to kill Evans. I believe that they will return him later. He could be in any good cell in the state for security reasons, but I can assure you that he is not dead yet. Even if anything happens to him, if he dies in custody, it will be as a result of cancer which he claims he is suffering from.”
Yet another senior police officer who preferred anonymity assured that Evans is okay.
“He is okay and seriously cooperating with the police in its investigation. From the look of things, he might not spend up to three months in detention before he’s charged to court. As for his location, I assure you that he is in a protective custody somewhere out of town.” The officer who reinforced fears within the police circle, said that “a criminal is always a criminal,” adding that, “with the number of robbery cases and kidnappings to his credit, he is well known among criminals.”
He told Saturday Sun:
“Within the short period that he spent in our cell, he is already controlling inmates in the cell. They fear and respect him; we do not want to run the risk of allowing him to form another notorious group which is common amongst them.”
On why his family is yet to get access to him, the officer said that they are yet to approach the police.
n.
Evans confirmed that he bought a car for his father and also gave him N3m. “A lot of his family members benefitted from his ill-gotten wealth, so they are afraid to come close to the police statioThe police will recover such money and properties.
We will soon get a warrant to pick his father up and possibly his mother, who also benefitted.”
Calls and text messages to both the Lagos Police Spokesman, Olarinde Famous-Cole and the Force PRO, Moshood Jimoh on the official position of the Police on Evans’ whereabouts were neither answered nor responded to as at 10pm yesterday.

Nigerian Man Who Stood As Judge In UK Was Sentenced For Running £10m Benefits Scam Running £10m Benefits Scam

A Nigerian illegal immigrant resident in the U.K who headed a gang which used the identities of MPs, judges and police officers to con the taxpayer out of millions of pounds was jailed for more than five years.
Kayode Sanni, 38, received a jail term of five years and three months for his part in the elaborate scam.
Fraudsters stole personal details from the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC), which provides sport and fitness facilities to more than 120,000 public sector employees and pensioners.
CSSC events manager Adedamola Oyebode, 30, stole membership lists and passed them on to her brothers-in-law Oluwatobe Emmanuel Odeyemi, 34, and Oluwagbenga Stephen Odeyemi, 39, who ran the fraud with Kayode Sanni, 38.
According to Mailonline, the gang managed to get away with £2,500,000 before staff at Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs spotted the ‘extraordinarily high rate’ of claims being made by civil servants.
If the scam had not been stopped it could have reaped more than £10,260,525, the Old Bailey heard.
Illegal immigrant Sanni ‘lied through his teeth’ and told jurors ‘my conscience is clear’ after denying involvement in the scam.
Emmanuel Odeyemi, Chantelle Gumbs and Adedamole Oyebode had already pleaded guilty to fraud charges.
Odeyemi was jailed for three and a half years, Gumbs was handed a 15-month sentence suspended for two years, and Oyebode received a two-year sentence suspended for two years.
Sanni expressed remorse for the scam in a letter following his conviction but judge Paul Dodgson was not impressed. He said:
”I think he is remorseful that he got caught.“I’m sorry, I just can’t regard that as sincere. “I can’t see how someone who contested the matter, who in the jury’s judgement, and in mine as well, just blatantly lied throughout and then claimed to be remorseful’There is no doubt that much of the money has been sent to Nigeria.’
